Motherhood is nuts and it’s tough to get through the day feeding yourself, let alone your baby! It is confusing to sift through all of the advice you are getting from everybody while also trying to understand what the media puts out there for recommendations on what to eat during pregnancy, how to feed your baby and child, how to bounce back to “normal” and how to balance it all.
I plan to meet you and your family where you’re at and provide you with tangible, evidence-based advice on ways to fit eating well into your life in a way that works for you!
I practice from a weight inclusive paradigm, focusing on intuitive eating and body positivity to help break generational cycles of the diet mentality.
Your body has an innate ability to “tell” you what you need and when you are hungry and full. As adults we tend to lose touch with this due to the busyness of life, as well as media messages that contradict each other, confuse us, and lead us to believe we need to be “perfect” or different than who we are.
My goal is to empower you to nurture this mind-body connection while also helping you to meet your individual and family health goals in a realistic way.
The cool thing is, babies are already instinctual when it comes to eating and they have not yet been influenced by the media like we have. You can learn to help protect your child’s ability to self-regulate as they grow and explore foods that they are attracted to!
